Developing and supporting sustainable instruments

ATAGO's goal is to manufacture instruments that are "easy to use" for "anyone", "anywhere". That is, the equipment can be used in confined spaces, away from the laboratory, in any country by anyone, regardless of gender. ATAGO aims for the equipment itself to contribute to sustainability.

"Made in Japan" means a durable, compact, and easy-to-use instrument with minimal maintenance that meets basic requirements, along with the confidence of prompt repair service and excellent customer-centric pre- and after-sales support.

For example, the average time from instrument receipt to quotation is under 4 hours. In most cases, repairs are completed on the same business day. Even for more complex, high-precision instruments, the turnaround time is estimated at 3 business days or less. This is the turnaround speed at which ATAGO delivers repair services to our customers.

Additionally, ATAGO service centers are located in 46 countries for customers outside Japan. Service technicians worldwide are continually invited to Japan for service training, ensuring that customers do not need to send their instruments to Japan for service requests. ATAGO strives to maintain these conditions and environment so that customers receive the service they deserve in their home country or neighboring regions. Through measuring instruments, ATAGO connects and maintains sustainable relationships with customers worldwide.

Based on the decision of the 45th meeting of the Leaders Summit on Climate held on April 22, 2021, Atago declared carbon neutrality by 2050. We have been reducing greenhouse gas emissions since 2013. We aim to reduce emissions by 46% by 2030, though targeting 50% or more will be more challenging.
