Atago PAL-SALT digital refractometer

Introduction to Atago PAL-SALT Digital Refractometer

The Atago PAL-SALT digital refractometer (Cat. No. 4250) is a handheld digital salt meter manufactured by Atago (Japan). The device utilizes the electrical conductivity method to quickly and accurately determine salt content in sample solutions. It effectively serves quality control activities in food laboratories as well as industrial testing processes.

Outstanding features

• Wide measurement range from 0,00 to 10,0% salt (g/100g), meeting diverse sample analysis requirements.
• Flexible resolution of 0,01% for concentrations below 3% and 0,1% for higher ranges.
• High accuracy with an error of ±0,05% in the low concentration range (0,00 - 0,99%) and a relative error of ±5% in the 1,00 - 10,0% range.
• Smart offset feature allows programming a dilution factor to directly convert to the original salt concentration.
• Built-in conversion factor to help align results with standard titration methods.

Applications

• Quality and salt content testing in food products such as bread, rice balls, and frozen foods.
• Controlling seasoning concentrations and brine solutions in food processing and packaging.
• Testing and evaluating salt corrosion resistance in automotive and component manufacturing industries.
